Speed of Flowing Time


Time. Responsible for all things. Without it we cease to exist. With it comes pain and eventual death. However, it also brings happiness and joy. If we do not take both into account, we are bound to be disappointed at some point. The man in the picture above was jaywalking. He was practically a criminal. Is he about to get what he deserves? Time thinks so. The fear in his face makes it clear he did not understand the concept of time. He tried to cheat time by not walking down to the crosswalk. Don't be like this dude - manage and spend your time wisely.

    Speaking as one who recently jaywalked I found it a true dilemma. Do I walk to the crosswalk or do I just cross right here right now? To be honest it was somewhat traumatizing. What if I think it's all clear and it's not? So why did I do it? Time. You are a wise one Ian McBride!

We Love the Earth

A wise man by the name of David Andrew Burd once said: "We love the Earth, it is our planet We love the Earth, it is our home" I think most people would agree that they do love the Earth if the question was imposed upon them. How could someone not love something so crucial for our everyday life? The Earth has shown us love for a very long time. It provides our air, food, water, shelter, and so much more. These are all things we often take for granted. Many - including myself - forget how lucky we really are to live on such a beautiful planet that does so much for us. There is an issue brought about by this ignorance, however. Over time humans have taken advantage of this planet thinking only for themselves. Happy Superbowl Day!

Today is the most important day of the year. It's Superbowl day! The whole football season all leads up to this. 32 NFL teams start out, but one by one they fall until there are only two teams left.These two teams then duke it out in front of over 100 million people watching. Once a team has won they are indisputably declared the victors and masters of the NFL - at least until six months from now when the season restarts. The extent of my knowledge comes from Madden and my amazing freshman year PE teacher (shout out to Mr. Dygert!). This goes to show how everyone has different learning methods and that is okay. All methods of learning should be accommodated to give everyone a fair shot a getting the education they deserve. If you see someone struggling, try to see things from their point of view, and you just might learn something yourself.
