Happy Superbowl Day!
Today is the most important day of the year. It's Superbowl day! The whole football season all leads up to this. 32 NFL teams start out, but one by one they fall until there are only two teams left. These two teams then duke it out in front of over 100 million people watching. Once a team has won they are indisputably declared the victors and masters of the NFL - at least until six months from now when the season restarts. The extent of my knowledge comes from Madden and my amazing freshman year PE teacher (shout out to Mr. Dygert!). This goes to show how everyone has different learning methods and that is okay. All methods of learning should be accommodated to give everyone a fair shot a getting the education they deserve. If you see someone struggling, try to see things from their point of view, and you just might learn something yourself.
Thoreau would agree with all of this.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not I actually did take a lot of inspiration for this piece with transcendental themes in mind. Shout out to my English teacher - you know who you are.
DeleteVery nice scribble. Would like to see dimensions for a possible recreation for a larger canvas.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I will take this into consideration over the following weeks as I post my art.
DeleteThe grass looks greener on the other side
ReplyDeleteInterestingly enough that is just a common optical illusion. The grass on the left has more green around it than white, causing it to appear more green than the shorter grass on the right. The shorter grass is surrounded almost completely by white, which is quite a bit brighter than green, causing it to appear as if it is less green than the grass on the left. This illusion was intended by me during the creation and planning process, so I am glad you noticed it.
DeleteThis might be the most astounding piece of artwork I have ever seen! Truly a scribble for the books! This made me reflect on how, in our society, more autonomous things are become commonplace. Like the roomba, or the Tesla autopilot. Just like those machines which take the skill and enjoyment out of everything, a future in which I can mow lawns from my living room is a future I am uncertain about living in. This is truly an amazing work of art and it reflects on a dreary future. The attention to detail is crazy! Like I couldn’t believe you made the grass behind the mower shorter! Who woulda thought that someone would incorporate such a thing into art. The beauty of the simplicity of this scribble is astounding. Truly amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I try to make these thought provoking so I am glad that you enjoy it.
DeleteVery very creative ian. Keep them coming
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll do my best to post at least every Wednesday!
DeleteThis is incredible. I look forward to following you.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have big things coming so stay tuned!
DeleteThis entire tale is just riveting. it brings drama, love, comedy, danger, fear, action, adventure, and most important of all, Suspense. I was hanging on the edge of my seat, and couldn't wait to read the next line. The words flowed off the page into my minds eye, giving me a crystal clear picture of what it truly is to be a lawnmower. I feel the lawnmower's presence. I am the lawnmower. I must now go to be with the rest of my people. I must mow the grass that endlessly grows in the fields of Valhalla. Odin and his legions of warriors shall welcome me with open arms, because of my great deeds and acts during the battle of köttbullar. I shall rise through the ranks, eventually becoming Odin's right hand man, his general. I Shall teach his scores of battle hardened legionaries the way of the lawnmower. We shall use these devastating techniques to battle Surtr and Jormungandr., and eventually Fenrir. I shall ultimately fall due to a lack of gas to keep my blades spinning, but i shall die a glorious death. One worthy of a king.
ReplyDeleteGoodbye now my friend, I shall see you in another life.
I am so glad you enjoy it! Don't stop chasing your dreams.
DeleteWow. At first I thought this was a foolish joke that the kids call “memes”, however upon reading your description of the scribble I now see the deeper meaning that it represents. Thank you so much for sharing, I’ve bookmarked this page for later inspection and entertainment. We need more wonderful people like you on the internet.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope to remain worthy of your bookmarks tab as I post more.
